Special tools and workshop equipment required
- With the Puller - Crankshaft/Power Steering Seal -T20143- carefully remove the seal -arrow- from the housing.
- A waved washer -arrow- is located behind the seal, it does not need to be replaced.
Note
Pay attention to the installed position.
- Drive in the new seal to the stop using the Thrust Piece -T40300-.
- Install the clutch. Refer to → Chapter "Dual Clutch, Removing and Installing".

Removing
Caution
There is a risk of damaging the clutch from mishandling.
The shaft seal can only be replaced when the clutch is installed. Refer to → Anchor
- Pry out the shaft seal -arrow- carefully with the Puller - Crankshaft/Power Steering Seal -T20143-.
Note
Do not damage the contact surface on the shaft.
Installing
- Place the Assembly Sleeve -T40308- on the drive axle.
- Drive in the new seal with the Thrust Piece -T50038- in the clutch housing until it stops.
- Remove the Assembly Sleeve -T40308-.
